Dear all,
We are writing to you in the hope that you will get involved in our exciting new project. We plan to hold regular events that explore the complexities of the relations between, art, film and music; all being forms of delivering information to the masses in a pragmatic junction between the cause and effect. The events will be held in Brixton Village Market with the expectation of filling a monthly slot.
The locale place and population of Brixton will be our target audience and thus will provide an essential platform, giving the events integrity. The aim is to consider that we are at a great time of change in our society and knowledge of identity, society and social engagement is shifting and a communal meeting point grounded in common appreciation can be vital to a communities interaction. We want to participate in Brixton's diverse community as well as, document, debate and celebrate this time of change in our society. We need you to show your commitment by contributing your talent or getting involved in one of our forthcoming events to support live projects for a stronger community.
On 29th of July, and monthly dates to be confirmed, we will be asking questions of ourselves and our culture though a evening series of film with musical accompaniment. A major focus will be on the key adjustments taking place in our communities and new objectives for our future engagement.
For the first event we are looking for musicians who would be excited and willing to put together a set to go with silent film. This will include locale artist film and anyone who fancies experimenting with their own version of social commentary. What we are hoping is that there will be two or three musicians/D.J's each playing a 20 to 30 minute slot or if anyone would like to take on the whole evening this would also be great. We are open to suggestions and idea's of those who wish to get involved. The brief is fairly loose at this point and the aim is to start with a party!
Please contact us and get involved!
